OTBA Committee Meeting Update - April 2003
OTBA members,
I am please to announce several new members of OTBA including
Travis Price Architects.
The committees have been meeting already.
The new membership committee is moving ahead
full steam and will have a report at our next meeting.
The fundraising committee met today and
we decided on focusing our efforts at outreach and fundraising
events to happen in September and October. I listed the ideas
in last e-mail. In addition to that we discussed the idea
of Selling Takoma license plates! A great idea.
It was also suggested by Bobbi Kittner the need for a marketing
/ education committee that will focus on our overall look
and themes and educational materials for the public and other
new members. She has volunteered to head up that committee.

People with graphics designs, copy writing etc are needed
for this.
Committee work
Right now we are meeting monthly as group but really it makes
more sense to soon go to meeting every other month. The real
focus in the coming months will be on the committee level.

There will be an opening on the Executive Committee after July
31 as Paul MacLardy may have to resign because Arise Asian Antiques
is moving out of Takoma Park due to a rent increase.
